College Park values knowledge and learning in a way that goes deeper because many of its residents are part of the higher education community of UMD.

College Park Academy was founded by a partnership between the city of College Park and University of Maryland and for this reason, both sides of the partnership remain deeply engaged with members of the community council on the board of College Park Academy.

The location of CPA is a crucial and unique factor in our values, goals, and inspirations. College Park influences UMD and College Park Academy in terms of education, transportation, environment, and sustainability.

College Park puts a heavy emphasis on science, and for this reason our community values a balance between economic/infrastructure development and sustainable growth. As the city continues growing in business innovation and population, measures promoting green growth remain important.

The College Park community wants to provide a culture for future generations to thrive in: a culture of creativity, knowledge, innovation, diversity, and united community.

College Park Academy was created in this vision and in partnership with the city and UMD. Our students grow up surrounded by this mindset valuing education and creativity above all else and these values stick with them as they move on into their futures.
