THE CPA ADVANTAGE
Our students are confident in their ability to succeed
The College Park Academy Advantage is that our students have access to an extensive support system built from CPA, College Park City, and the University of Maryland. Because CPA was founded on a partnership between College Park City and UMD, the whole community is invested in our students’ success, building community engagement and support.
The CPA Advantage Is That Our Students Are Confident In Their Ability To Succeed Based On Their Extensive And Unending Support. This Network Of Connections Creates A Deeper Rooted Community Than The Traditional High School, And The Students’ Access To This Ensures Their Long-Term Involvement And Success Moving Forward.
Early start
Our students enroll at CPA in middle school and are with us until graduation. This creates a deep sense of community within the school.
Close relationships
Our staff works closely with students and parents, and our relationships within the school reflect this.
College prep
We want to see our students succeed in life after graduation, and we provide them with the tools and support they need to make this a reality.
Strong support
CPA’s Biggest Strength Is Support For Both The Students And Parents, Not Only In The Community Itself But Also In The Classroom.
Partnering With UMD Provides Another Level Of Student Support That Will Extend Beyond Graduation. Students Form Connections And Relationships With The College Instructors And Students While Preparing Themselves For A College Education. These Connections Can Follow Them Into Their College Years And Provide A Smooth Transition And A Confident Start To The Next Chapter Of Their Lives.
CPA’s biggest strength is support for both the students and parents, not only in the community itself but also in the classroom. Because our students have control over their own learning, we provide them with extensive support so they know they have the tools to succeed. Students and parents work closely with classroom teachers, success coaches, professional school counselors, instructional lead teachers, mathematics coaches, and program coordinators.
