CPA Plus Registration Schedule Info

Important

**The CPA Plus program activities operate in accordance with the PGCPS 24/25 SY calendar. If PGCPS has an early dismissal, a delayed opening, or school closes we will not have CPA Plus.

“Initial Payment” Policy:

Please note that if the initial payment is not made by deadline, families automatically forfeit their student’s seat and the seat will be given to the next available student on the waitlist.

“Final Payment” Policy:

If the final payment is not received by deadline, student participation will be suspended. Students can return to participate in the program once the balance is paid. If a balance is not paid by the end of the school year, accounts will be forwarded to collections and future registration will not be permitted until the balance is cleared.

Late Registration Policy:

Late registration is when a student is registered after the program begins. While permitted if seats are available, deadline adjustments for the final payment will not be made for late registrations. The initial payment is due according to the deadline provided through electronic invoice. Please consider that there’s a shorter time-frame to make payment  for late registrations.

Pro-rate Policy:

As a courtesy, CPA Plus has provided subsidized programs at both the middle and high school levels. However, the full program price will be assessed at all times for all programs that are assessed a fee. CPA Plus does not prorate costs according to the time of registration.

Drop-In Policy:

Please note that CPA Plus is limited in the number of drop-in accommodations that can be made each day.  Families will be notified after receipt of registration if CPA Plus cannot accommodate in order to give them time to make other arrangements. Families are strongly encouraged to call the school to confirm receipt if they are registering for a “same day” drop-in.

  • Same-Day/Planned Drop-In Policy: For your convenience, CPA Plus allows for unregistered CPA Plus participants to attend sessions on a drop-in basis at $25/day. See the “Drop-In” tab from the CPA Plus Course list to register. Families must register separately for each date that a student drops in. Payment is made via electronic invoice that will be sent via email. Please note that a 15% late fee will be assessed if payment is not made within 1 week of the drop-in date.
  • Unplanned Drop-In Policy: If a student is not picked up by the end of the school day (3:05p), CPA Plus will supervise the student until 6:00 pm. The charge for supervision is $25/session for each individual student. Families will be invoiced, or payment can be made at the time of pick up. Please note that a 15% late fee will be assessed if payment is not made within 1 week of drop in date.

Late Pick-Up:

CPA Plus programs end at 5:30pm. Dismissal begins at 5:30pm and ends at 6pm.  Caregivers are required to pick students up no later than 6pm.

A late fee will be issued for families that arrive after 6:05pm.

Caregivers are also responsible for picking students up on time at the conclusion of programs that end early (i.e. 5pm)–unless other arrangements have been made. In the past, CPA Plus allowed for a 5-minute grace period to accommodate for unexpected events. This means that if a program ends at 5:00 pm, caregivers have until 5:05 pm to pick the student up before a late fee is assessed. Caregivers who pick students up after the grace period will incur a $25.00 late fee.

Note: If you have not arrived at CPA Plus by 7 pm, CPA Plus will be required to notify the police.

CPA Plus Program Registration FAQs:

Q: Why are families required to pay a fee for CPA Plus clubs and why do some of the program costs differ from semester to semester?

  • A: CPA Plus does its best to keep the costs for all clubs at an affordable rate. As part of its public charter structure, CPA Plus does not receive specialized funding to subsidize all costs associated with each program. There are times when the price may increase due to the negotiated cost that CPA Plus must pay providers for partnership and club facilitation. The cost per session ranges between $10-$15 per [2 hour] session when you break the fees down. For instance, a club that consists of 20 sessions and costs $200.00 for the semester is only $10.00 per session. Quality internal and community partnerships, as well as efficient enrichment opportunities for students are a priority for CPA Plus. In order to continue accomplishing these goals, it’s required to assess a monetary structure to support all operational needs.

Q: How do I find CPA’s website and register for after-school enrichment programs?

  • A: Visit www.collegeparkacademy.org and click on “CPA Plus”. Click the “CPA Plus Registration” to view the course list and register (you will see the registration link below the program title or program description). Remember to carefully review the program details, as they differ with each program (i.e. start date, time, min/max registration, etc.). It’s also important to make note of the payment plan that you selected, as well as the total balance after adding the fees according to each payment plan selected. Please note, there will be a delay if requesting this information prior to receiving your invoice. Your electronic invoice will include the description of all programs and instructions on how to make payment through an external payment source (be sure to CHECK your SPAM FOLDER if you do not readily see the invoice in your inbox). Typically, invoices are sent out within 2-3 business days upon receipt of registration.

Q: How can I keep track of the class I registered for, the amount I paid, and the payment deadlines?

A: Each caregiver will be invoiced and have access to their invoices, registration, and payment history. This information can be located on the electronic invoice that is emailed. It is the responsibility of the caregivers to provide a valid email address on each registration form, as invoices will be emailed to that address. Exceptions will not be made after late fees are assessed. Unpaid balances will also impact student participation with current and future programs
